The smell of fresh bread, sweet pastries and brightly coloured flowers filled the air, at Grosvenor Waterside, in what is now set to be a monthly Farmers’ Market. Traders were on hand on Saturday 9th June to show our residents their handpicked goodness from artisan bakery, organic fruit and vegetables and preserves to freshly cut flowers, plants and pies and quiches. There was also a Spanish Gastro food stall and French meat stall selling cured and smokes charcuterie.
This was a new activity for the Chelsea-based development, offered as a ‘taster’ session and one we hope to role out across a number of our developments. The farmer’s market was well-received with many residents popping down for some fresh bread and bowls of salad. We hope to bring this healthy goodness to the development on a monthly basis, once the residents have given it the green light.
While there was a small selection of traders for the taster event, Rendall & Rittner hopes to build on trader numbers, offering a great place for stallholders to show off their wares on a monthly basis across a wide number of its London developments.
Farmers Markets offer our residents the chance to buy independently. The on-site events add character, and it is great to show we able to offer a sustainable alternative while bringing the community together.
