At Rendall & Rittner we have won awards for our sustainability initiatives. We use our resources and engage with the community to foster economic, social and environmental wellbeing, demonstrating our dedication to achieving sustainable solutions.
We are always looking at how we can continue to improve our sustainability commitment.
This week is National Tree Week, which Rendall and Rittner is celebrating by launching a new Tree Pledge, clearly setting out our commitment to reduce paper consumption and support the planting of trees.
Why are trees important?
Trees are essential for people, wildlife and the environment. Global warming is a significant threat and the planting of more trees can help reduce CO2 in the atmosphere.
What is R&R committing to?
We are continuing to reducing paper consumption by:
- Limiting the amount we print.
- We are actively encouraging our customers to receive e-bills to help reduce the amount we need to print and send.
- Our day-to-day updates and eCommunications can be found via our online portal, R&R Online.
- In the first quarter of 2021, we will be launching our new eCommunications solution, which will allow residents to opt into receiving only paperless communication.
Help support the planting of more trees
Our eCommunications solution will be supported by a financial commitment from Rendall and Rittner, whereby for each new sign up, a donation will be made to a tree planting initiative.
To kick start our tree commitment, we have made a donation to the Woodland Trust. The Woodland Trust is the largest woodland conservation charity in the UK, concerned with the creation, protection and restoration of native woodland heritage.
We look forward to a greener 2021.
