The cladding crisis has had a significant financial and emotional impact on residents of affected buildings, particularly long-term leaseholders and as a direct result we have been working as part of a steering group alongside ARMA and IRPM to create better understanding of the cladding crisis and how the Building Safety Fund works. As the two professional bodies for the residential block management sector ARMA and IRPM have brought together some key resources to help leaseholders understand the cladding crisis and the responsibilities of managing agents.
Featuring infographics and frequently asked questions, the documents can be access here via the ARMA website https://arma.org.uk/leaseholders/leaseholders-advice/building-safety-information-for-leaseholders
They provide answers to some of the most commonly asked questions, as well as insight on the current situation, what is and isn’t currently covered by the BSF, the role and responsibilities of managing agents, plus more.
In addition, ARMA is working on a whitepaper which will document the cladding crisis and its solutions from Grenfell.
