Supporting the incredible work of charities is something that we are very passionate about and a core part of our Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) commitment. At Rendall & Rittner, our staff elect a charity to support for a period of three years (currently Cancer Research UK) and we also continuously support the vital work of Great Ormond Street Hospital and The Stroke Association. As part of our support of Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), we have once again been collecting toy donations that the children at the hospital can receive for Christmas. This is an annual event that we have enjoyed supporting for several years now.
The response to our request for toy donations has been outstanding this year. Over 90 of our developments participated in the collection, the highest number we have ever had! All of these collection points have helped us to donate over 1,500 gifts to Great Ormond Street Hospital this year, with an estimated value of £18,000.
Great Ormond Street Hospital is an amazing hospital in London that delivers life-saving treatment to children. Every day, 619 children and young people arrive at the hospital to receive the best possible medical care. Alongside its vital medical work, GOSH believes that being sick does not mean being sad and, the charity does amazing work to make each day a little brighter for these brave children.
While GOSH continues to fund vital research that will help ensure more sick children are able to spend Christmas at home with their families, there are also many children that unfortunately will need to continue with their treatments over the Christmas period. Our toy donation will help ensure that children at the hospital can receive some lovely gifts on Christmas day.
We are keen to continue supporting our charities throughout 2022. To keep up-to-date with our fundraising news, follow us on LinkedIn.
