Now celebrating its 50th anniversary, The Tree Council is a national environmental charity that brings people together with a shared mission to care for trees and the planet’s future, helping to plant thousands of trees and hedgerows in community projects across the country each year. We are therefore excited to be joining forces with The Tree Council through their Tree Partner programme in order to help enhance landscapes across the UK.
At Rendall & Rittner, we have a firm commitment to managing sustainable developments for people to live, work and enjoy. As part of our constantly developing ESG strategy, we have been encouraging our residents to sign up for e-communications. Not only does this reduce our paper consumption and create easier and secure access to our communications for residents, but we have committed to donating £1 to tree planting initiatives for every resident who signs- up to further extend the impact of this solution. Our work as a Tree Partner builds upon the more than 20,000 sign-ups that we have received so far.
Launched to celebrate The Tree Council’s 50th anniversary, the new Tree Partners programme will build on the successes of its Jubilee Partners. To mark this anniversary, Rendall & Rittner and other Tree Partners will also be supporting the establishment of fifty ‘Golden Orchards’.
Catherine Riva, CEO of Rendall & Rittner Limited said: “As part of our commitment to sustainability, we have pledged to donate £1 to tree planting initiatives for every resident who signs up to our e-communications. As a Tree Partner, we will be supporting The Tree Council in its mission to care for trees and consequently our planet’s future. In addition to financial support, Rendall & Rittner will also be looking for opportunities to donate volunteer hours to help establish the new trees and hedgerows. We would like to thank all our residents who have already switched over to e-communications and welcome more to join them.”
Sara Lom, CEO, The Tree Council said: “We are delighted to partner with Rendall & Rittner to do something truly wonderful for nature. Trees and hedgerows are heroes - they help tackle climate change, provide homes for thousands of species of precious wildlife, improve our health and wellbeing and so much more. By getting involved, Rendall & Rittner is helping to grow a greener, tree-filled future for all of us. We’re so grateful to them and all our Tree Partners.”
