At Rendall & Rittner, we are proud to hold key accreditations that emphasise our quality of service, commitment to the highest health and safety standards and the importance we place on investing in our people. These accreditations from TPI, BSC and IIP, sit alongside our Regulated by RICS status, and together provide comprehensive external verification to our clients, customers and residents that we are continuing to meet the highest standards of service and the value that we place on continuous improvement in all that we do.
Accreditations and regulation like this also aim to raise standards across the property management sector, in turn protecting residents by facilitating safer managed properties and communities. We believe that government mandatory regulation within the property management sector would set a new basic standard for safeguarding, competence and accountability, and have long supported measures that ensure we deliver these components to the highest level in our operations.
In place of clear government guidelines, we believe that accreditation and voluntary regulation via professional bodies is vitally important. We therefore place great value on our accreditations as a reflection of our commitment to all our clients and customers.
The Property Institute (TPI)
Formed following the merger of ARMA and IRPM, The Property Institute is recognised for its dedication to continuously driving standards across the industry. TPI accreditation has been designed to ensure competence across a range of key areas including health and safety, transparency, professionalism and the handling of client funds. We are recently audited and subsequently reaccredited to the TPI for another 3 years giving our clients reassurance that we are continuing to meet the highest standards of service and that they are using a fully compliant TPI member. The majority of our people in property management roles are TPI members.
RICS
The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) is committed to building trust amongst the public through its independently led regulation processes. Standards and guidance documentations outline clear ethical considerations, as well as conduct and competence requirements for members. As a result, our Regulated by RICS status assures our customers that we are adhering to, and in some cases exceeding, the required professional standards which is subject to regular review. We are also members of the RICS Client Money Protection Scheme which ensures client funds are professionally managed and fully protected.
British Safety Council (BSC)
We have been awarded a Five Star accreditation in the British Safety Council audit for the sixth consecutive year recently, demonstrating our commitment to best practice in health and safety. This is the highest accreditation given by the BSC and comes after we completed a rigorous annual audit process and were measured against a number of key health and safety indicators.
The feedback that we get through the audit process is also invaluable for identifying focus areas for improvement. Our latest score of 97.55% was an increase of over half a percentage point from the previous year’s audit, with continual improvement noted by the auditor in their comments:
"There is a good organisational occupational health and safety culture at Rendall & Rittner. The growth of the health and safety team and resources provided show that it is a priority. Everybody in the organisation is expected to be a health and safety leader regardless of position. Continual improvement is a key part of Rendall & Rittner's health and safety plan, and culture. The organisation clearly strives for best practice and is committed to developing their own staff to achieve that."
Investors in People
Our 2024 reassessment by Investors in People (IiP) saw us once again attain Platinum accreditation status. We have held Platinum status since 2018 and we will now hold it through until at least to 2027. Recognising our commitment to people management and employee wellbeing, this is the highest accreditation possible.
Richard Daver, Co-CEO at Rendall & Rittner comments: “With housing one of the most important and valuable assets in people’s lives, we believe it is crucial that customers can trust their property managers. Professional bodies offering rigorous assessment and accreditation provide external verification to clients and homeowners of the competence, qualities and standards they should expect from their property management company.
As we strive to set the standard within the property management sector, we are proud of our comprehensive accreditations, and our Regulated by RICS status. We remain committed to a culture of continuous improvement that will continue to enhance the lives of our customers, clients and residents.
We believe the Government’s recent announcements regarding mandatory regulation of property management companies and obligatory qualifications for property management professionals, align with the service values we uphold.”
