All our team members working in retirement living receive specialised training focusing on the specific requirements of later living, so you can be sure you are dealing with people who understand the needs of residents and clients alike. Underpinning it all is a commitment to great service and communication that runs right across our team.
Alongside our The Property Institute (formerly ARMA) and Investors in People Platinum accreditations, and RICS regulation, we are also members of ARHM which we are actively engaged with at board level and which provides specialised standards for the retirement and later living sector.

Committed to retirement living
We currently manage senior living homes nationwide via our network of offices in Bournemouth, Croydon, London, Milton Keynes and Manchester.
Our retirement portfolio is spread countrywide, but with an emphasis on some of the coastal locations that are favoured retirement hotspots, such as Bournemouth. Our network of offices and locally based Property Managers enables us to provide an expert service, supported by good quality locally based independent contractors.
Most of our developments have a part-time or full-time House Manager providing residents with precise assistance as and when they need it.
Community is really important too, so many of our properties have a residents’ lounge, along with other shared facilities, where residents can socialise together as and when they want to.
Our Retirement living offering encourages the formation of residents’ associations so residents can get together as a community to help shape decisions on the management of their living environment.
Resident communication
Our Property Managers will sit down with residents every month for a meeting. This proactive approach to communicating with residents ensures any issues are quickly discussed and promptly dealt with.
We offer a range of communication tools to suit our later living customers as we know they have differing needs. These include our free web portal, email, telephone and attendance at coffee mornings (subject to an invitation of course)! We also recognise that many of our later living residents prefer to receive information through the post.
Annual meetings are held to discuss the budget for the forthcoming year and annual accounts. We ensure that a capital expenditure plan is in place for every development, so that cyclical redecorations and major works are adequately planned and funded.
Retirement living services
Our Property Managers are members of The Property Institute (formerly ARMA and IRPM) and importantly they are each aided by an Assistant Property Manager.
They are supported, as required, by experts in our 'Centres of Excellence' offering specific expertise in a wide variety of services including amongst others:
- Health and Safety
- finance
- legal
- company secretarial
- insurance.
So you can be assured of great service from highly knowledgeable people at all times, together with a focus on value for money and regular involvement.
Our broad range of retirement living, property and estate management services also includes:
- On-site staff recruitment and development
- Maintenance, cleaning and security
- Management of a wide range of on-site facilities.
Contact our Head of Later Living
As part of our commitment to raising retirement living standards, we have recently appointed Don Kennedy to Head of Later Living to oversee our later living portfolio, as well as client liaison and new business.
Don has worked in residential property sector for 16 years, with 13 years working in the later living sector. He joined us in February 2020.
As a former Vice-Chair of the ARHM (the Association of Retirement Housing Managers), Don worked closely with Government to obtain statutory approval for the revised industry Code of Practice in 2017, with specific responsibility for the submission of the Impact of Change Statement.
We are delighted that Don has recently rejoined the ARHM Board, thus reaffirming our commitment to upholding standards in this growing sector.
